By default we do NOT extract the contents of the files in the repo. You can ask VisualGit to extract file contents by using the command line parameter

--extract.

Just be sure that you are happy for the file contents to be sent to the server.

The details of files when --extract is applied are kept for up to day - but after that are permanently deleted.

The Cloud API is cycled each day and so any data we store is removed at this point permanently
